Nothing seals like a rubber gasket. That's why we use rubber enhanced silicone
for lifetime durability. It makes the Lyemance Top-Sealing Damper seal super
tight, just like an old fashioned Mason jar. Traditional throat dampers only
give metal to metal contact - notoriously leaky and expensive. Who can afford
heated or cooled air going out their chimney?
Your current throat damper was designed for the days when energy was cheap. Back
then if you lost some energy here and there, it was no big deal. Today it is a

Original Top Sealing Fireplace Damper reduces heat and air conditioning
loss, and eliminates down drafts when fireplace is not in use.
Seals out sleet and snow and rain. Keeps out birds,
animals and debris. Reduces outside noise.
The lid on the damper is spring loaded in the normally
open position. It is shut by means of a stainless-steel cable that extends
through the cable guide then down the flue to the firebox, where it is
secured to a bracket fastened into a forward part of the side fireplace
wall.

The Original can be installed on chimney tops in minutes,
used with new or existing fireplaces. No special tools are required.
Dampers are available in sizes to fit most standard flue liners,
including round.
The low profile Original blends into the roof line. Each
damper is completely assembled with a 32 foot stainless-steel cable and a
tube of silicone sealant to bond the damper to the flue tile. Flue liner
dimensions may vary 1 inch.
The LyemanceTM Original
Damper is durably constructed of cast aluminum, so it won't rust or warp
(unlike cast iron throat dampers), and fully guaranteed for material and
workmanship.
The Original is much less expensive than repairing
existing throat dampers. |
